Life @ Kaplan: Summer Events in Photos

It's been a really exciting summer this year, with lots of events taking place for staff and students. From sports to punting on the river, we've been sharing our favorite Kaplan experiences on the blog. Now that the season is coming to an end, we've rounded up a few more of our photos from colleges all over the world, showcasing even more fun activities!

The Notting Hill Carnival is Europe’s biggest street festival. It is an event that has been held every year since 1965 on the streets of Notting Hill in London. This week the Kaplan team and Covent Garden students went down to enjoy the party! This is a photo of a traditional "mas" or "masquerade" costume taken by Candida our blog editor!

For the first time ever, Kaplan International attended a music festival! Our German team went to the ZÜRICH OPENAIR festival in Switzerland, which was a musical highlight of the summer. As well meeting lots of interesting characters, the team also got to see some of the world's most popular artists, including The Killers, Skrillex, Hot Chip and The Prodigy!
Colleges all over the world joined in with the spirit of the games and hosted their own sports themed events and celebrations. Our favorite photo of the bunch comes from our KIC Cairns college, where students have atttemped to reach out to their hero Usain Bolt by copying his famous "lightning pose". What do you think - will this encourage him to visit Australia?
KIC Vancouver hosted their annual sports day. There were traditional sports like football, and more fun activities like three legged races, balloon tossing and hula hoop competitions!
This summer, KIC Irvine hosted an International Day and invited students from all over the world to showcase their cultures. Lots of countries were represented including China, Brazil, the Middle East, Poland, Russia and Mexico.

Do you have any exciting photos from your summer vacations? We'd love to see them! If you're a student and have more photos from your experiences at Kaplan, you can share them with us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #KaplanExperience.
