Things to do in London this summer
Walking with Dinosaurs
Where: Wembley Arena
When: Wed May 1 - Sun May 5
What: A live-action show featuring 20 life-size, mechanical dinosaurs stomping around a stage with earthquakes, explosions and falling comets. It's like Jurrasic Park but real!
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Where: Theatre Royal Drury Lane
When: Fri May 17 - Sat Nov 30
What: The musical version of Roald Dahl's classic book about a young boy's adventures in a fantastical sweet factory. It is set to repeat the success of 'Matilda' and is directed by Sam Mendes who did Skyfall!
Field Day
Where: Victoria Park
When: Sat May 25
What: London's coolest music festival returns to East London. It boasts an eclectic line-up and is full of hipsters. Bring your sunglasses even if it is raining!
UEFA Champions Festival
Where: Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
When: Thurs May 23 - Sun May 26
What: London is celebrating Wembley hosting the final of the UEFA Champions League by throwing a football party. The UEFA Champions Festival is a free four-day football celebration with a host of family-friendly activities. A must for all football fans!
Notting Hill Carnival
Where: Notting Hill
When: August 25 - August 26
What: London celebrates Europe's biggest street festival – the Notting Hill Carnival. West London will be packed with steel bands, Calypso music and tempting food stalls. It is a huge party and everyone is invited!
